Cottonwood Technology Fund Named One of the World’s Top-10 Best-Performing Venture Capital Funds
It’s not every day that a smaller, science-driven VC fund from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 is listed among the global elite.
We’re honored to share that Cottonwood Technology Fund has been ranked as one of the Top 10 best-performing venture capital fund families worldwide in PitchBook’s 2024 Global Manager Performance Score League Tables (as of 30 June 2025 – link to PitchBook’s report in the comments).
Cottonwood placed 6th globally, positioning us alongside much larger and more widely known names in the venture ecosystem. We’re humbled by this recognition—not because of the accolades, but because it reflects the consistency of our long-term strategy: backing breakthrough deep-tech ventures from idea to impact.
This acknowledgment is significant given the methodology behind PitchBook’s rankings. These are not based on marketing optics or fund size. The scores come from a rigorous, data-driven assessment of actual fund performance relative to peer benchmarks across vintages.
While past performance never guarantees future results, we see this as validation of the vision we’ve pursued from the start: taking calculated risks on early-stage science and engineering breakthroughs, with the patience and operational support to help them scale.
▶️ To our entrepreneurs, LPs, co-investors, and team—thank you for believing in this mission.
We’re more energized than ever to build what’s next.
